You may notice that my pictures often feature a recurring bird, fish, or plant. This practice began for a simple reason: to tell them apart! While travelling the harbour on the yacht Anakiwa, I've drawn over one hundred pieces, and these unique details help me identify which artwork people are referring to.

Over time, these elements took on a deeper meaning. I've come to see them as kaitiaki—the Māori term for guardians. For me, they are sentinels, watching over the place and its people.

By creating this website, I hope to make my art more accessible to a wider audience. It also creates a more sustainable way for me to continue my work, so I can keep capturing and sharing these moments with you.
