My husband and I make a great team, and our home, the yacht Anakiwa, is the heart of our partnership. While he has a genius for fixing the impossible—like bringing a 600hp Blackstone engine back to life when others said it couldn't be done—I have my passion for capturing the beauty of our life on the water. This painting shows Anakiwa on a typical day for us. She’s a sturdy, classic yacht with a funny quirk suggesting a farmer once owned her, and she is our perfect home for a life of fishing, sketching, and teamwork.
