Charmaine by the Refinery

This painting is all about the thrill of a perfect catch! It captures the memory of a successful fishing trip where I caught a John Dory so big it won me a trophy. It was a wonderful moment made aboard Charmaine, the first boat my husband and I owned together. Here, she is cruising past the Marsden Point Oil Refinery, a familiar landmark on our many fishing adventures, with that prize-winning fish on board!
